Newsletter - January 2005
Happy New Year! 2004 was full of activity for IACA! I found myself still wrapping up the lose ends while working on the 2005 agenda. IACA Council had its first meeting on January 8th and we are planning a year full of fun and rewarding activities. In this newsletter, you will find a list of tentative activities for 2005 and the list will be expanded and fine-tuned as we progress on. Meet our new Council members from a brief introduction on each of our newly installed Councilors in this edition. I am thankful for their support and very much stimulated by their enthusiasm and commitment to serve our organization and the community. I encourage you to communicate your suggestions and feedback to the Council for ideas and improvement. Your input is essential for the fulfillment of IACA’s mission. IACA will start the Year of the Rooster with a bang on Feb 5th. Please come and join us to celebrate our heritage, meet new friends, exchange our well wishes and catch up with our old friends. A separate New Year Celebration announcement with date, time, place and reservation details will be in you mail box, please look for it and send in your reservation early. In early March, an educational program on Chinese musical instruments is planned. Music from ancient string instrument such as Gu-Qin and wind instruments such as Di and Ba-Wu will be presented accompanied a with brief lecture on the instruments. Please watch for further information in your mail and email. IACA is marching into its thirty-second year of operation since its inception in 1973 and its continuing operation depends on you, the Members. Your membership renewal and your participation in our programs and activities is the major force to propel the organization forward, bring quality programs to our community and enriching our life in this great Hoosierland! I wish you a Peaceful, Healthy and Prosperous New Year! Agnes Yam Wolverton
