The President's Corner

Dear IACA members:

Happy New Year 2003 And The Year of Sheep/Ram. Year 2002 has passed very quickly. IACA held many activities last year and I believe a lot of members have participated and enjoyed them. This year IACA will continue its 30 years of tradition to service all of our members and the Indiana Chinese Community. In the past few years, everyone knows Indianapolis has changed a great deal and has become a better city because of its grown to be more ethnically and culturally diverse. The ethnic Chinese American population has also grown a lot. IACA needs to grow to meet these changes and challenges. Here I encourage very IACA member to invite your ethnic Chinese American and American friends, who are still not IACA members, to join our activities and to join IACA.

Last year IACA has expanded to about 180 families. I hope this year IACA will continue to grow and become of the major Chinese American organizations in Indiana to service the ethnic Chinese American Community.

This year, IACA will start to cooperate with other Chinese American organization in town to hold some joint activities. I always believed that together we will be better and stronger. Former President Dr. Raymond Wong had many dreams. He dreamed we would have a Chinese Cultural Center. He dreamed we would have a chinese radio station, etc. I share these dreams as well. In order to make these dreams a reality we need cooperation. Together we can make a lot of improbable dreams turn to reality. Together we can make these dreams come true.

Stephen He, 2003 IACA President .
