IACA 2002 Christmas Party Our Christmas Party is always a highly anticipated event. This year’s party was held in the same location as last years, Reilly Hall of the Atherton Union Building on the campus of Butler University. Special thanks to Caroline Lee-Thompson for making possible the splendid setting for this event. The Christmas Party started off with the introduction of new officers and council members for IACA. This was followed by the presentation of outstanding volunteer awards. These awards are given to members of IACA who have provided outstanding service throughout the years. This year’s recipients of the outstanding volunteer awards are Vicky Ko, Frances Russell and Agnes Wolverton. Following the announcements and presentations a wonderful buffet dinner, provided through Butler’s catering, was served. The party was highlighted by several impressive performances. These performances were largely made possible by Annie Chen and her daughter Kelly Chen. These performances included a grand solo piano performance by Grace Xu. Jazzing up the evening, Johnson Char and Jessica Wang gave us a dazzling dance performance. They showed off their talents by demonstrating a variety of Latin ballroom dancing. Lastly, John Fuller and Cheryl West filled Reilly Hall with joyous holiday cheer by singing several holiday songs. IACA guests also chimed in for a few songs! There were many weekends and nights spent preparing for this event and we would like to say a heartfelt thank you for all of the volunteers and council members who helped to make this Christmas Party a grand success.
