9. Asian Arts Society Annual Luna Year Gala The IACA Lion Dance Team was invited once again to perform at the Asian Arts Society's Annual Lunar New Year Gala at the Indianapolis Art Museum on February 11th, 2002 . Joe Caparo, President of the Society thought that it was the highlight of the evening. The performers were Darrel Allen, Hope Casey-Allen, Janet Casey-Allen, Larry Casey-Allen, Kathryn Carlisle, Mike Chan, Maggie Freeman, Jason Pollard, David Russell, Frances Russell, Julia Wolpert, and Alison Yum. REVENUE: TOTAL: $21182 EXPENSES: TOTAL EXPENSES: $23974 NET SURPLUS <DEFICIT> <$ 2792> IACA had a net deficit last year, primarily due to contributions to the Red Cross and other organizations. In 2002 IACA did receive an additional $1120 from invoices due from 2001 which would have reduced the deficit to $1672. IACA still has net assets of $24594.51 mostly invested in CD and money market accounts. We began the year on a good note as the Chinese New Year Party was profitable.
