What is C.I.R.C.L.?

Are you frustrated with the growing traffic in Central Indiana? Are you exhausted at night after a long day of work and commute, in addition to going to your son's little league baseball or your daughter's soccer league? Can your children walk safely to schools, parks and libraries? Do your fifteen minutes errands turn into more than an hour traffic jam, bumper-to-bumper situation? Do you feel that your house has been surrounded by cookie-cutter style houses or "monster" parking lots and strip malls? Is the crime in your neighborhoods getting worse? Are you concerned about today's education and employment opportunities? Do you feel that you do not get a chance to meet people because we live so far apart? What about the diminishing green space, natural woods and wetland? What does your community look like today? Can you imagine what your community will look like in the next 15-20 years?

CIRCL, Central Indiana Regional Citizens League, a grass root organization is composed of citizens from Central Indiana, primarily a nine county region: Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Madison, Marion, Morgan, and Shelby - coming together to discuss the various issues important to our lives in Central Indiana. CIRCL is a public forum aiming to uplift and empower the voices of citizens. With the rapidly changing economy and globalization, what and how will all be impacting to our daily lives? Heard about "Thinking Globally, Acting Locally"? What and how can you do to be part of the process?
